Are whale sightings guaranteed?

No. They are wild and the sea decides. If the trip goes ahead and the whales do not show up, you get priority to board again, at no extra cost, in a spare seat on another departure this season — and if you cannot come back, you can pass that seat to someone else. The amount paid is not refunded.

How long does it last?

The whole outing takes about 2 hours, from boarding to stepping back onto land. Of that, the search at sea runs from 30 minutes to 1h30: if the whales are close we come back sooner; if they are far, we stay out longer.

How many people are on board?

A maximum of 10 passengers per departure. The boat is licensed for 12, and under NORMAM the 2 crew count towards that — which is why 10 seats are sold, not 12.

What is the boat like?

A 26-foot Fisher — close to eight metres — licensed for 12: 10 passengers and 2 crew. Life jackets for everyone, and you can stand or sit through the trip, whichever you prefer.

What if the weather turns?

Rain or cloud alone do not cancel the trip. What decides is the state of the sea, and safety always comes before the schedule. If the trip cannot go ahead, the alternatives in the Cancellation Policy apply.

If you miss the departure · What you have already paid is not refunded, and the booking gives no right to a reschedule, a credit or a transfer to another tour or another person.

Bought online: you have the right to withdraw within the first 7 days, under article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. You can make the request through the customer-service WhatsApp, giving the name the booking was made under and the date of the experience.
